Research in One Health

One Health at Melbourne brings together veterinary, medical, environmental and public‑policy expertise to address problems that cross species and ecosystems.

Our researchers apply fundamental biology, along with advanced methods in genomics, epidemiology and ecological surveillance to understand wildlife and livestock health, and how these interact with human communities and the environment.

Projects range from amphibian genomics and wildlife disease ecology to antimicrobial stewardship and climate‑related health risks, with an emphasis on translating scientific evidence into practical measures that protect people, animals and habitats.
